Poker Maximus and HPT STL

SCOTTYS BLOG is now sponsored by LOCK POKER

The Poker Maximus begins today, and the Heartland Poker Tour (HPT) began yesterday. I did not go to Lumiere Place or River City Casino, but I heard it was packed. I am pre-registered for 27 Maximus events, from the first event to the $200K Main Event, March 04-25th. Maximus consists of 70 events and $1.5 million dollars worth of guarantees, but my chances in the HPT hinges on a check from Lock Poker...

Oh well. That is the life of gambler. It is always about money.

Lock took full control of the operations of Cashier on February 06, and this means Lock Poker will now service deposits and withdrawals, instead of the Merge cashier. The Merge cashier provides this service for most skins (sites) on the Merge Poker Network, and it was taking Merge 50 days on the average to get players paid by check. In an effort to better serve customers, Lock took over the responsibility. My first two checks arrive the same week, but the third has not arrived as of yet.

Poker room manager Eric Lynch reports Lock Poker is committed to expiditing cashouts as fast as possible, and this is why Lock took control of their cashier. The creation of their cashier system is experiencing growing pains. The Chicken Littles are surfacing in the poker forums, but the fact of the matter is, we are in better hands with a Lock cashier, than the Merge cashier. I am ok, and you should be too.

And If I get the check or a score, I will play even more Maximus events.

I plan to try and satellite into the Heartland Main Event next week. The preliminary events do no interest me, the vig is way too high, and I would rather play a $109 on Lock Poker. No taxes, no tip, no chat and playing poker in my underwear, if I so choose. If I do get the check from Lock Poker this week, I will go on an all out assault to win a seat to the HPT Main Event, juggling both these series at one time.

EDIT/ADD 03/05: I did in fact receive this check today Fed Ex. Game on...
